Your body remembers what your mind has tried to move past.
Talking about something is not always the same as healing it. You can understand your patterns completely, know exactly where they came from, explain them in full sentences, and still feel stuck in your body the same way you always have.
That is because a lot of what we carry is not stored as a story. It is stored as tension, bracing, a held breath, a jaw that never quite unclenches. Insight alone does not always reach that.
Somatic and experiential work meets you there. Instead of just talking about what happened, we pay attention to what is happening right now, in your breath, your posture, the places your body tightens before your mind even catches up. Slowly, in a way that is paced and safe, we help your nervous system finish what it never got to finish.
This is not about reliving anything. It is about giving your body a different experience than the one it has been stuck in.
What this can look like
• Noticing where you hold tension and what it is protecting
• Learning to recognize activation before it becomes overwhelm
• Completing stress responses that got interrupted or stuck
• Building capacity to stay present in your body, not just your head
• Widening the space between a trigger and your reaction to it
Good fit if you
• Feel like you know your issues intellectually but nothing changes
• Notice your body reacting before you understand why
• Have tried talk therapy and hit a wall
• Want to feel more, not less, and stay present while you do
Closing
Your body is not the enemy here. It has been trying to protect you the whole time. This work helps it learn it does not have to work so hard anymore.
